Palomar Energy Center
Prime contractor for construction of 9200-ton central plant designed to pre-cool inlet air for two (2) 250 MW turbines. Project highlights include chiller plant construction, 3000 ft. 24” diameter chilled water pipeline and installation of 30’x40’ chilled water coils.

VA Hospital
Installation of 500 ton absorber, cooling towers, 4.5 MW Solar gas fired turbine, steam boiler, steam to high temp hot water exchangers. J&B was in charge of all trades on this project, including civil, structural and electrical.

EVDP - East Village District Plant
Prime design/build contractor for East Village District Plant final chilled water capacity of 12,000 tons. Phase 1 of construction included (4) 1350 tons chillers, pumping systems, piping, Automated Logic DDC controls, electrical, and all general building trades.

University of San Diego
Replacement of (3) 700-ton chillers, cooling towers, piping, pumps, and steam boilers in operating central plant and campus setting. An new DDC system and variable speed drives were installed to provide maximum energy savings.
Dreamworks Animation SKG
Prime contractor central plant upgrade including a new 500 ton chiller and cooling tower with associated piping, pumps and controls. Also installed an additional 120 tons of cooling and related general construction modifications for operating computer room.

Construction of FDA certified vivarium built to Class 10,000 cleanliness standards and protocols. Included 100% outside air VAV system, steam boilers, DI water system, animal feed-water system, and other related plumbing & piping systems.

General Atomics
Installation of equipment yard to house a 600-ton chilled water plant for Building 86 comfort cooling systems, 3.3 million BTU heating hot water plant for comfort heating, 1300-ton cooling system for process cooking and compressed air system. T.I. work to include 100,000 lbs. of sheet metal ducting to provide HVAC to new offices and laboratory space, miles of steel and copper piping to provide heating and cooling water to the air handling and VAV systems, and plumbing systems for new bathrooms and shower facilities, along with compressed air distribution throughout the facility.

Sempra Energy
Replacement of two 600 ton cooling towers, addition of one 300 ton centrifugal chiller and remodel of pumping system. Jackson & Blanc was prime contractor including all electrical, structural, and general construction related trades. All major work completed on 21st floor of corporate headquarters in downtown San Diego during a 4 day shut down period. A built-up crane and street closure coordination was required.
