Jackson & Blanc was selected by SDGE as the prime contractor to provide mechanical, electrical, DDC controls, and general construction work to complete energy efficiency upgrades to the compressed air central plant serving the needs of in-port aircraft carriers at Naval Base North Island.
The project consisted of removal of outdated industrial air compressors, installation of new water cooled compressor equipment, high efficiency pumping systems, electrical support systems, new concrete foundations, and a specialized control system designed specifically for this application.
