Jackson & Blanc was part of the Suffolk team to construct the mechanical systems for a new 15 story high rise developed by Irvine Company. The HVAC systems is comprised of a roof mounted chilled water plant consisting of (2) high efficiency chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and variable speed pumping systems providing chilled and hot water to floor mounted custom VAV air handlers. Oval ductwork was used for the medium pressure loops serving each floor to provide for ease of installation and system efficiency. The building was successfully LEED Silver certified.
Due to the urban setting, J&B provided “just-in-time” material deliveries and our detailed BIM modeling allowed for extensive pre-fabrication to meet the logistical challenges.
